| The perfect location to start to learn photography skills or to hone up your existing ones. In the capable hands of our course tutors Mike and Jose - professional photographers who have lived and worked in the area for a number of years, your photographs will blossom. Whether it is landscapes, portraits or close ups all are ideally available in this superb location. Our idylic spot rests on the slopes of the Poqueira valley in the Alpujarra.
To the north is the mountain of Mulhacen, snowcapped for several months of the year, and the highest mountain in mainland Spain; whilst to the south on a clear day the Mediteranean glistens. The whitewashed villages of Capileira, Bubion and Pampaneira perch on the other side of the Poqueira valley. All make excellent subjects to capture. Wild flowers and butterflies pose for your camera. With an appropriate 'bribe' our dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens and ducks will provide interesting subjects. We have lived high in the Sierra Nevada now since 2003, on the slopes of the mountain. Many of our guests have been photographers from semi-professionals to beginners. A number of them have said that they would like to improve their knowledge. "Why not go on a photographic course," we said. "Why don't you run one here then, it's a brilliant location." So that is what we decided to do in 2007 and our early weeks have been a great success!
