Paragliding
Experience the thrill of paragliding from one side of the Poqueria valley to the other.
In tandem with an experienced instructor you will be able to listen to the whistle of the wind whilst sharing the sky with eagles.

Butterflies
There are numerous butterflies to be seen in the vicinity of your holiday cottages and more are pictured on this web site click here for butterflies to be seen in the Sierra Nevada

Flowers and Herbs Abound
The mountains and foothills of The Alpujarra have many indigenous wild flowers.
A pink butterfly orchid was photographed a few hundred yards from your holiday cottage in April
Full Guided Walks are available. Walking Holidays are a great way to maintain fitness and breathe pure air
Many of these wild flowers are close to or a short walk from your cortijo.
In addition our finca has many cultivated flowers and herbs
Airport pickup and drop off
Some of our clients do not wish to be bothered to hire a car. We are able to arrange a pickup and drop off at the airports of Granada or Malaga. The tariff quoted is for a one-way journey, with up to 4 people and luggage
Granada transfer time approx 1˝ hours
Malaga transfer time approx 3 hours

Tickets must normally be booked in advance for this and we are pleased to do so for guests staying with us - please fill in the appropriate detail on your booking form.

Catering
Starter pack: Awaiting all guests staying in our self-catering holiday cottage accommodation, for 7 days or more, is a basic food starter pack.
Shopping: firstly as we have a small shop on the premises that will cater for most of your food requirements, there is no real need for you to go shopping. We always have available a small range of provisions including in season fresh fruit and vegetables from our garden.
For your dietary requirements please phone us or note on your booking form if you have any special dietary needs but please do not expect availability in Spain of all product you can buy in the UK. We can cater for vegetarians but cannot guarantee our products are nut or GM free

Mobile Phone and Gifts
Mobile phones: If you intend to bring a mobile with you please check that your service provider has altered your service connection so that it works in Spain.
Presents: if you do not wish to shop for presents yourself we have carefully chosen a number of potential gifts in our small shop for you to buy.
Forgotten Something: We have all done it! No toothpaste. We will always try to help.
Internet connection
Want a cottage holiday break but realise that you need to send or receive an important document by email. We are able to provide an Internet connection for your portable laptop free of charge. You should ensure the battery is capable of holding a charge and we will recharge it for you overnight when necessary
The Buddhist retreat of O Sel Ling is very close to your holiday cottages – 20 minutes drive. In fact we are closer than any of the villages or towns nearby. The name given the centre by the Dalai Lama in 1902 means “Place of Clear Light” and is an interesting place to visit with fantastic views. Steeped in contemplative history the centre is visited by people from all over the world.
